Tissues are composed of cells and are the intermediate stage before becoming a complete organ. Tissues have cells, which perform identical functions in the body. They contain more intercellular materials than other tissues. Blood, bone, cartilage are the most common types of connective tissues. Muscular tissues have the ability to expand and contract. Muscle cells are usually elongated, providing room for elasticity. A single stimulus received by one cell of the muscular tissue can pass on to other cells at a fraction, and all the cells work together the desired action.
